Chris and I went for a weeks surfing and tuition in Portugal Lagos with extreme holidays and had the most amazing time. The surfboards, wetsuits, transport, tuition and lunch were all included in the price which was very reasonable for a week of personalised tuition.

There were two instructors in our class and about ten students, both the instructors "Alex and Jimmy" were very friendly and approachable if you had any questions. The instructors showed us all sorts of reef breaks, beaches, and villages. They would stop the Jeep and explain how waves and reef breaks worked. We learnt loads from them and really enjoyed their company.

Also, I liked travelling around the island in the Jeep. So many times you go on holidays and you don't see the resort. With Extreme we got to see the beautiful island. After a day at the beach surfing it was left up to us whether we want to just chill by the pool in the evening or go out and explore the many bars and clubs in the area.

Overall it was a fantastic surfing experience and the first time either of us had experienced anything like this before. There was a real mix of ages from 22yrs - 40yrs and several solo travellers so it provides the perfect opportunity to make friends.
